Why Let Your Competitors Take Your Customers?

What if your customers could find you the moment they’re ready to buy? That’s what SEO does. It gets your business in front of the right people at the right time, turning searches into clicks and clicks into customers.

SEO and GEO Services That Get Your Business Found, Trusted, and Chosen.

Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) is about making your website the one Google recommends when someone searches for what you do. Done properly, it builds your visibility in organic search results, brings in the right kind of traffic, and turns your website into a consistent source of enquiries.

And it is not just Google anymore. AI tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity and Google’s AI Overviews are now the first thing many people see when they search. So we also focus on GEO, Generative Engine Optimisation, making sure your business shows up and gets recommended there too.

At Sokada, we offer tailored SEO services and strategies that are transparent, measurable, and focused on one thing: getting your business more enquiries from the internet.

Why Let Your Competitors Take Your Customers?

You’ve got a brilliant business. But if your website is buried on page two of Google, or worse, page eight, the customers who are actively searching for what you do right now are finding your competitors instead. Not because your competitors are better at what they do. Because their websites are doing a better job of getting found.

Here’s something worth understanding: Google is a business. Its job is to serve users the most relevant, trustworthy, and helpful results for every search. If your website isn’t structured to demonstrate relevance and trustworthiness, Google won’t recommend it. SEO is the process of making sure it does.

Are you watching competitors rank above you for searches your customers are making right now?

Every day you’re not ranking is a day someone else is getting the enquiry that could have been yours. SEO won’t fix that overnight, because it takes time and it needs to be done properly. But the businesses that invest in it consistently are the ones that stop chasing work and start having work come to them.

What We Do and Why It Works.

At Sokada, we don’t do tick-box SEO or vague promises of page one rankings. We build tailored SEO services and strategies based on what your business actually needs to get found, trusted, and chosen. Here’s what that covers.

On-page SEO optimisation

On-page SEO is everything that happens on your actual website pages to help search engines understand what each page is about and who it’s for. This includes your meta titles and meta descriptions (the text that appears in search results), your heading structure (H1, H2, H3), your image alt text, your internal linking between pages, and the quality and structure of your page content.

We fine-tune all of these elements so your site is both easy for Google to read and genuinely useful for your customers. We also think carefully about search intent for every page: not just which keywords to target, but what someone is actually looking for when they type that phrase, so that your page answers the right question at the right stage of their decision-making process.

If your current website is worth optimising, we’ll tell you. If it needs a proper rebuild before SEO can work effectively on it, we’ll tell you that too.

Technical SEO

Technical SEO covers the behind-the-scenes elements that affect how well search engines can find, crawl, and index your website. Think of it as the structural foundation everything else rests on. If search engine bots can’t properly read your site, all the content and keyword work in the world won’t make up for it.

We handle Core Web Vitals (Google’s measure of real-world page experience, covering load speed, visual stability, and interactivity), mobile-friendliness, crawlability, page indexation, structured data (also called schema markup, which tells search engines exactly what your content is, whether that’s a service, a product, a review, or a FAQ), site architecture, and canonical tags to prevent duplicate content issues.

We also implement LLM.txt files, a newer technical standard that helps large language model AI tools like ChatGPT understand and correctly represent your website. Getting the technical foundations right is what allows all the other SEO work to perform properly.

Keyword research and search intent

Keyword research is the process of finding out exactly what your customers are typing into Google when they’re looking for what you offer. But it’s not just about finding popular search terms. The more important question is search intent: what is the person actually trying to accomplish with that search? Are they researching, comparing options, or ready to buy? We target keywords that match where your ideal customers are in their decision-making process, so the traffic we bring in is the kind that converts.

We don’t guess. We use real search data to build a keyword strategy that makes your website the answer to the questions your customers are already asking.

Content strategy and E-E-A-T

Content is still king in SEO, but only if it’s the right content. Google uses a framework called E-E-A-T (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness) to assess whether a website deserves to rank well. This means Google is looking for evidence that you genuinely know your subject, have real experience in it, are recognised as a credible source, and give users reason to trust you.

We build content strategies that demonstrate all four E-E-A-T dimensions: service pages that reflect genuine expertise, blog posts and FAQs that answer real customer questions in depth, case studies that show experience through results, and structured content that positions your business as the credible, trustworthy option in your field. It’s not about churning out words for the sake of it. It’s about creating content that earns rankings because it genuinely deserves them.

Local SEO

Local SEO is about making sure your business appears in searches when people near you are looking for what you offer. According to Google, 46% of all searches have local intent, and the businesses that show up in those results, especially in the Google Local Pack (the map and three listings that appear at the top of local searches) get a disproportionate share of the enquiries.

We optimise your Google Business Profile (formerly Google My Business), making sure your information is accurate, your categories are right, and your listing is actively maintained. We use location-based keywords across your pages, build consistent citations (mentions of your business name, address, and phone number) across relevant directories, help manage your online reviews, and implement LocalBusiness schema markup so Google understands exactly where you are and who you serve.

Off-page SEO and link building

On-page SEO tells Google what your website is about. Off-page SEO tells Google how trustworthy and authoritative it is. The primary signal for this is backlinks: links from other reputable websites pointing to yours. Google treats these as votes of confidence. The more high-quality, relevant sites that link to you, the higher your domain authority and trust flow, and the more weight your pages carry in search results.

We build off-page authority through citation building on trusted directories, outreach for relevant backlinks, and local link building strategies. We’re careful and deliberate about this, because low-quality or spammy links can actively harm your rankings. The goal is to build genuine authority from sources Google respects.

GEO: Generative Engine Optimisation

SEO is evolving fast. Alongside traditional search results, AI-powered tools like Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Microsoft Copilot are now directly answering search queries, and the websites they cite and recommend are the ones that have been built and optimised in a specific way. This is what GEO (Generative Engine Optimisation) addresses.

AI-referred traffic grew by over 500% in 2025, and that trend is accelerating. The businesses that show up in AI-generated answers aren’t there by accident. Their websites use question-format headings that match how people ask AI tools questions. Their content is structured in clear, extractable chunks. They have FAQPage, LocalBusiness, and other schema markup in place. They have strong E-E-A-T signals that give AI engines confidence to cite them.

We build GEO into everything we do, from the structure of your pages to your schema implementation and content strategy, so your business is positioned to be found not just on traditional Google results but in the AI-generated answers that are increasingly where people are discovering businesses like yours.

SEO Tailored to Your Business, Not a Template.

The SEO strategy for a local plumbing business in East Sussex is completely different from what an e-commerce retailer needs, and different again from a nationwide professional services firm. Local SEO, on-page content strategy, technical work, off-page authority building, and GEO optimisation all get weighted differently depending on your market, your competition, and your goals.

That’s why we don’t offer off-the-shelf SEO packages with a fixed list of tasks regardless of what you actually need. We take the time to understand your business, your customers, and where you currently stand, then build a clear strategy that’s specific to you. Whether you need to dominate local search in your town, build authority for a competitive national keyword, or get your products found in Google Shopping, we’ll tell you what will actually move the needle and why.

What would a consistent flow of qualified organic traffic mean for your business over the next twelve months?

SEO isn’t a quick fix. It’s an investment that builds over time, which is why we always work on a minimum twelve-month basis. The businesses that treat SEO as a long-term strategy rather than a one-off project are the ones that build a genuine competitive advantage that’s very hard for competitors to replicate quickly.

Transparent SEO: No Smoke, No Mirrors.

If you’ve been promised page one rankings before, given a monthly report full of numbers you didn’t understand, and seen nothing change for your business, you’re not alone. It’s one of the most common frustrations we hear from clients who come to us.

At Sokada, we work differently. You’ll always know what we’re doing, why we’re doing it, and how it’s affecting your business. We report on the things that matter: organic traffic, keyword rankings, enquiries from search, Google Business Profile performance, and the technical health of your site. And we explain what the numbers mean in plain English, not jargon.

We also tell you honestly when something isn’t working and why, and we adjust the strategy accordingly. SEO requires patience and consistency, but it should never feel like a black box.

Frequently asked questions.

Explore our frequently asked questions to get a better understanding of how we work and what we can do for you.

How do I get my website to show up on Google?

Getting found on Google requires a combination of on-page SEO (well-structured content, properly optimised meta titles and meta descriptions, clean heading hierarchy, schema markup, and strong internal linking), technical SEO (fast load speeds, mobile-friendliness, correct indexation, and crawlability), and off-page SEO (backlinks from reputable sites that build your domain authority).

Local businesses also need a fully optimised Google Business Profile. We assess where you currently are across all of these areas and build a strategy around what will make the biggest difference for your business.

What is GEO and why does my business need it?

GEO stands for Generative Engine Optimisation. It’s about structuring your website so AI-powered search tools, including Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Microsoft Copilot, can understand, extract from, and recommend your site in their generated answers. AI-referred web traffic grew by over 500% in 2025 and is continuing to rise.

The businesses appearing in AI answers are the ones with question-format headings, structured content, strong E-E-A-T signals, and correct schema markup. We build GEO into everything we do so your business is positioned for both traditional search and AI-generated results.

What is E-E-A-T and why does it matter for SEO?

E-E-A-T stands for Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, and Trustworthiness. It’s Google’s framework for evaluating whether a website deserves to rank well. Google wants to recommend sources that genuinely know their subject, have real-world experience in it, are recognised as credible within their field, and give users reason to trust them.

E-E-A-T signals include quality content written by knowledgeable people, case studies showing real results, named authors, testimonials, backlinks from respected sources, and consistent accurate information across the web. We build E-E-A-T into your SEO strategy from the start.

What is keyword research in SEO?

Keyword research is the process of finding out exactly what your potential customers are typing into Google when looking for your products or services. Beyond finding the right terms, we focus on search intent: understanding what someone actually wants to achieve with a given search, whether they’re researching, comparing options, or ready to buy.

Targeting keywords with the right intent means the organic traffic we bring to your site is far more likely to turn into enquiries.

What is on-page SEO?

On-page SEO covers all the elements on your actual website pages that affect how search engines read and rank them. This includes meta titles and meta descriptions (what appears in search results), heading structure (H1, H2, H3), image alt text, internal linking between pages, content quality, keyword placement, and page load speed.

We optimise all of these elements so your pages are easy for Google to understand and genuinely useful for the people landing on them.

What is technical SEO?

Technical SEO is the behind-the-scenes work that ensures search engines can properly find, crawl, and index your website. It covers Core Web Vitals (Google’s measures of real-world page experience including load speed, visual stability, and interactivity), mobile-friendliness, site architecture, canonical tags, structured data (schema markup), page indexation, and crawlability.

We also implement LLM.txt files, a newer technical standard that helps AI tools correctly understand and represent your site. Technical SEO is the foundation everything else rests on.

What is schema markup and do I need it?

Schema markup (also called structured data) is code added to your website pages that tells search engines exactly what your content is: a service, a product, a business location, a review, a FAQ, or a how-to guide.

When search engines understand your content clearly, they can display it more prominently in search results through rich snippets, and AI tools can cite it more confidently in generated answers. Schema is a standard part of our technical SEO and GEO work.

What is local SEO and how does it help my business?

Local SEO is about appearing in search results when people near you are looking for what you offer, particularly in the Google Local Pack (the map listing and top three local results at the top of Google searches).

We optimise your Google Business Profile, use location-based keywords across your pages, build consistent citations in relevant directories, help with online review management, and implement LocalBusiness schema markup. For most businesses with a geographic focus, local SEO is where the biggest and fastest wins come from.

What is off-page SEO?

Off-page SEO covers everything that happens outside your own website that affects how Google perceives your authority and trustworthiness. The most important factor is backlinks: links from other reputable websites to yours. Google treats these as votes of confidence. The more high-quality, relevant sites that link to you, the higher your domain authority and trust flow, which means your pages carry more weight in search results. Where we can, we build off-page authority through citation building, directory listings, and targeted link building from relevant, trusted sources.

Why is content important for SEO?

Content is how your website demonstrates relevance and expertise to both Google and your potential customers. Well-written, well-structured content that genuinely answers the questions your customers are searching for is one of the strongest SEO signals available.

We create content strategies that cover service pages, blog posts, FAQs, and localised landing pages, all built around real keyword research and designed to demonstrate E-E-A-T. Content is also the primary way your site earns citations from AI search tools.

How long does SEO take to work?

SEO is a long-term investment, not a quick fix. For most businesses, meaningful movement in organic rankings begins within three to six months of consistent, properly executed work. Competitive markets or sites starting from a weak technical foundation may take longer.

This is why we always work on a minimum twelve-month basis. The businesses that treat SEO as a sustained strategy build a competitive advantage that compounds over time and is very hard for competitors to replicate quickly.
