We’re Sokada, a family-run web design and marketing agency based in Heathfield, East Sussex. Julian has been building websites for 30 years, going back to when most businesses didn’t even have one. Jude has been doing marketing long enough to know what actually works and what just wastes your money. Between us we run a small team of designers, developers and content people who genuinely care whether your website brings you enquiries.
Most of the businesses we talk to have been through the same frustrating loop. They paid someone local a few hundred quid for a website. Then they handed the marketing to a different agency who never looked at the site itself. Nothing was joined up, nothing was planned around results, and the enquiries never came. Nobody could tell them why.
We work differently. We build bespoke WordPress sites with proper on-page SEO, clean structure and schema set up for how Google and AI search engines actually read a page now. Then we run the marketing on top of it. Because a great website with no marketing sits there doing nothing, and great marketing pointed at a broken website just wastes your money faster.
If something we’re doing isn’t going to help you, we’ll tell you. If your current site only needs a tidy-up rather than a rebuild, we’ll say that too. No waffle, no ticking boxes, no over-promising. Honest work from a team that actually wants your phone to start ringing.
